Creating posters seems like the graphic designer's dream to me. We live in a world of ever abundant technology that demands flexibility in how our projects are applied to the increasingly diverse kinds of media that exist. Poster design has become a refreshing breath of simplicity. Free of the burden to ensure compatability over multiple platforms, the designer's only task is to catch and hold the viewer's attention by being bold and using a solid composition. It feels like going back to the basics of art for art's sake, where having a large canvas allows you to go deep with illustration as long as your headlining information hammers home.
