FAMILY POKER CARDS

The St. Johns have never looked so regal!

Friendly games of poker played a significant role in my family as I was growing up, and to this day it still serves as a fun way to socialize when we are together. To commemorate this, I created a fully customized set of family poker cards as a gift for each member of my family. The most difficult challenge of this project was wrapping my mind around how to reflect and rotate the face cards for perfect symmetry. After a good amount of trial and error my methodology developed a groove, and then the various themes gradually fell into place. Armed with multiple binders of family photos, it quickly became a joy to impliment the most memorable parts of our lives into these cards, which now serve as yet another piece of our family's memorabilia. I would be happy to do the same for any other families or organizations who might be interested in such playful immortalization.
